Meet the Family

The MamaZing Kombucha family is full of lively Herbs that are beneficial to the body and tasty in their unique ways. We start with luscious Spring water from our land, brew in Oak barrels with our healthy, organically raised SCOBYs, traditional and carefully sourced Teas and organic, Fair trade cane Sugar. We culture our brews long in their lovingly warm Kombuchery. Our brewing process ensures the healthiest, tastiest Kombucha we can create. Once it is brewed in the first Oak barrel with its mother culture, we move the Kombucha into the infusion barrel for a second ferment. This is where we add the fresh and dried, all organic Herbs. Some are from our land and as much as possible sourced locally or direct. Once this infusion is complete, we bottle the brew and condition for optimal Zing!

Our Herbal combinations have been created by us here at MamaZing. Us being, Amira and Jo MudWood, the Mama and Papa of the Zing. We take our MamaZing brews to local markets and select events. We sell through resonant outlets and places we know MamaZing is needed or appreciated.

With the effervescence of a Cider or Champagne, the excitement of a Ginger Beer or fizzy drink, complex taste of a fine drink, and refreshing nature of a juice or water, MamaZing Kombucha is a Zing for all times. MamaZing is also a Herbal Elixir and is a wonderful way to ingest nature’s potions.

Mamazing is seeking a business partner/ investor(s)

MamaZing Kombucha, Ferments, and Apothecary is seeking more core team to help take MamaZing to a more financially sustainable place. Crowdfunding will be happening soon to enable others to be involved in this journey. However, we are keen to find a business minded business partner or investor to be a part of the MamaZing team.

MamaZing has been going nearly 4 years. We have expanded from our reknowned Kombucha elixir to ZingChi Ferments, Delectables, and the Apothecary. All of these expansions have been tested through our markets and are worthy of growing! We are working on our taproom in the Far North, as well as other plans for making MamaZing more sustainable and stable. Coming to the Far North has been an adventure and having a grounded place for MamaZing is allowing for more exciting plans to emerge.

MamaZing has seen a whirlwind of a year so far!

The move to the Faraway North has been a major readjustment time for MamaZing and MudWood.

Far North markets at The Old Packhouse in Kerikeri and Kaitaia Market are wonderful.  Refills are flowing and feeling good.

Uncle Bean, our Cold Brewed Coffee Kombucha has made its debut in bottles and refills around the country!  People are excited about Uncle Bean!  A silky, smooth, zingy, Coffee sensation.  Alkalizing and Probiotic coffee with a bit of effervescence and Zing!

Nebulous now has Hops and Viola added to its already uplifting and delicious brew of Ginger, Pineapple Sage, St. John’s Wort, Cardamom and Vanilla infusion!

Faery Berry has become even more scrumptious with the addition of Red Clover, Hawthorn Berries, and Hibiscus to the Rosehips, Vanilla, Cardamom infusion!

Mystery is coming to the end of the winter season and may go on holiday again.  Aunty Zing is citrusy, Zingy, and refreshing as usual.  Kapowa! is great for the end of winter stretch and deep nourishment.  Papa Zing is holding that warming, Adrenal and Liver supporting role well.  And some new brews are in development!

           

ZingChi made its market debut and has been Zinging along ever since!  ZingChi is our fermented Veggies line.

Cruciferous ZingChi, Earthy Roots, Golden Roots, Zingebar Zing, and the Zing of Fire have all spread and are building momentum

The Delectables line is divinely appearing every week at the markets.

Proper dark, raw chocolates with medicinal superfoods and herbs.  Raw, probiotic desserts.  Yumness!

                

MamaZing Apothecary has also developed beyond Teas and Herbs and into superfoods.  Medicinal mushrooms, Maca, Cacao and other good stuff to help us to maintain health.

MamaZing Kombucha is growing in familiarity and spreading like mycelium.

More healthy eateries and shops are installing refill fountains and selling MamaZing Kombucha.

The latest MamaZing Fountain is at Power Plant in Whangarei.  An excellent plant based eatery!

        New paintings have been painted.  New labels and cards have been printed.

                

MudWood music is being recorded and released this month.  Videos coming soon.  Concerts booked.

Uncle Bean is coming to a bottle near you!

Uncle Bean, our exciting new Cold Brew Coffee Kombucha, has been a hit at our MamaZing fountain. The labels are now complete and are being printed! In a few weeks, Uncle Bean will be available in the bottle!

We use Organic, Fair trade, locally roasted Coffee. We grind it and brew it in a Cold Brew process. Uncle Bean is brewed entirely with Coffee. No Tea. Add our signature Cardamom and Vanilla Bean for antioxidants and taste, and voila! Uncle Bean is a beautiful brew!

The end result is a unique Kombucha with a velevety, tangy, zingy coffee flavour with a slight chocolatey taste. The Cardamom creates a flavour reminescent of Turkish coffee. The Zing of Coffee with Probiotics. Gentle on the stomach, and full of zip!


Exciting Faery Berry News!

Faery Berry is our light and lovely, Caffeine Free, Rooibos brew. In addition to the Vitamin C rich Rosehips, Vanilla Bean and Cardamom, Faery Berry now features Hibiscus, Red Clover, and Hawthorn Berries. Good for the Heart and the Blood, as well as being full of Probiotics!

Uncle Bean!!!

Uncle Bean has arrived!  Brewed in a beautiful Oak Barrel, Uncle Bean is smooth, silky, and Zingy!  Brewed with organic, dark Coffee beans in a cold brewed process, Uncle Bean is a delight!  Infused with Cardamom and Vanilla, it is reminiscent of a Turkish Coffee.  Catch Uncle Bean at The Old Packhouse Market and the Kaitaia Market this weekend!  Available for refills and cups.  Will be out in bottles in 2019.

MamaZing at the Markets

Spring is here and Summer is near!  MamaZing is all over the place!

Every Saturday and Sunday in Kerikeri at The Old Packhouse Market in an inside, permanent spot, the newly expanded MamaZing Kombucha, Delectables, Tea, and MudWood Arts shop is open!  Bottle refills, starter cultures, sales and tastings, and the MudWood Art Gallery.

Most Saturdays the green gazebo is at the Kaitaia Market with Jo, Papa of the Zing.

Some Thursdays, the green gazebo is in Paihia at the Bay of Islands Farmers Market.
